PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
A tragic incident in Andhra Pradesh has claimed the lives of four members of a family after they allegedly inhaled toxic fumes from a motorcycle left running inside their house overnight. The incident occurred in Punganur town of Annamayya district, where the victims died in their sleep due to suspected asphyxiation.
The deceased were identified as 70-year-old Ramachandraiah, his grandson Karthik (15), and twin granddaughters Charita and Chandana, both aged eight. They were found dead inside their house on Tyagaraja Street on Sunday morning. According to police, Murali, who runs a hair salon, had taken his motorcycle to a mechanic for repairs on Saturday. After replacing the engine’s bore piston, the mechanic reportedly advised him to keep the engine running overnight. Murali brought the bike home and left it running inside the house with doors and windows closed.
While Murali and his wife Revathi slept on the terrace, the grandfather and the three children slept inside the house. The exhaust fumes filled the closed room during the night, leading to suspected carbon monoxide poisoning. Police have sent the bodies for post-mortem examination and registered a case as investigations continue.
